Shakeout in online travel

Interactive agency Digital Pulp said on Oct. 24 it resigned as agency of record for online travel site In addition to developing the Web site, Digital Pulp also created an online and traditional branding campaign for the service. Steven Sacks, president-creative director at Digital Pulp, said the split resulted from "managerial differences with the client that we could not overcome."

In another online travel shakeout, Knight-Ridder said it will cease publication of its online travel magazine, Destinaton Florida. The magazine, a joint venture between Tribune Co. and Knight-Ridder, has been on AOL since June 1994 and on the Web since December 1995. Both sites will continue to be available to users for 60 days.
