Shop.org/BCG survey shows online retailers making improvements

The latest retailing survey from Shop.org, the trade association for online retailers, and The Boston Consulting Group says 95% of online retailers are making specific improvements to their operations to better handle holiday shopping traffic, including redesigning Web sites (70%); increasing customer-service capacity (65%) and expanding into new product categories (52%). Additionally, retailers are spending more money on online promotions and less on offline advertising.
