(Aug. 9, 2001) -- Boeing Co. cleared three shops to continue in the pitch for its $72 million dollar advertising review.

Chicago agencies WPP Group's J. Walter Thompson, Omnicom Group's BBDO Worldwide and Interpublic Group of Cos.' Foote, Cone & Belding were selected as finalists after two days of agency visits, said executives close to the pitch.

Bcom3 Group's Leo Burnett, Omnicom's DDB Worlwide and WPP's Ogilvy & Mather, all Chicago, were cut from the final phase. Bob Wolf Partners/TPG, Los Angeles, is handling the review. -- Kate MacArthur
