Shops vie for AOL in Germany

Published on .

AOL Germany, Hamburg, short-listed two Duesseldorf-based agencies to pitch for its estimated $40 million media business: CIA-owned MQI/Mediahaus Stroebel and Publicis-owned More Media, part of BMZ!FCA. MediaCom resigned the account following the Grey Global Group-owned agency's win earlier this year of Deutsche Telekom's entire media account. AOL is widely expected to bolster its media spending in 2001 to compete with Deutsche Telekom's T-Online.
