Three short-listed for prestige bank account

DUBLIN--Bank of Ireland has short-listed threeagencies -- Universal McCann, Carat Ireland and incumbentMindShare -- for the $6 million media buying account it'sexpected to award in June. McCann Universal is tipped asfavorite at this stage, particularly since sister companyMcCann-Erickson holds the creative account. MindShare hasheld the media buying account since 1994. Significantly,the account was managed by Alan Cox, who left to join AllIreland Media and established Carat Ireland as a separatemedia wing within the group in March.
