Shortlist announced for Denmark's biggest ad account

COPENHAGEN -- Tele Danmark has shortlisted six ad agencies in its quest to appoint a new lead agency to manage its $20m account. A total of 45 agencies pitched for the business when it was announced in April.

Among the agencies that have made it to the shortlist for Denmark's largest ad account are Young & Rubicam, Grey and BBDO, agencies with whom Tele Danmark has already worked. The other finalists are DDB Needham, Ogilvy & Mather and Action.

"It is likely Tele Danmark will select between two and four of these agencies, with each having responsibility for a specific business area in terms of marketing," says Tele Danmark's marketing director John Andersen.

Four agencies are also competing for Tele Danmark's media and marketing account. Incumbents ProMedia and Nordic Media Buying are joined by TMP and MediaCentralen. "We expect to reach a final decision on the agencies and the accounts they will handle in September," says Andersen.
