The interactive book on the One Show winners will be neither little nor black. The One Club for Art & Copy, New York, last week signed Chicago-based Leap Partnership to create and produce the interactive edition of the One Show's awards book. When it's completed later this year, the interactive showcase for the prestigious One Show advertising awards will weigh in at two jam-packed CD-ROMs. Click on "TV" and you get the winning commercials, in color and full-motion video. Interface with "radio" and you hear the spots, with accompanying text.

SCTT Interactive, a research and consulting firm in Lake Forest, Ill., has started a Dow Jones-style "Interactive Index," tracking the aggregate stock performance of 65 public companies "tying their futures to new technologies." Those tracked range from AT&T, IBM Corp. and Walt Disney Co. to Interactive Network, America Online, TCI and QVC. The index, pegged at 100 on Aug. 1, stood at 101.71 on Aug. 10. Two Way TV, a subsidiary of Interactive Network, awarded its new $12 million U.K. account to Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, London. The interactive service, scheduled to test before yearend, will allow home viewers to participate in game shows, sports and education programs for entertainment and prizes.

Command Performance Network invested $10 million in NTN Communications' interactive gaming company, IWN, in exchange for 50% of the outstanding shares. As part of the deal, Command Performance Chairman Robert Wussler, a former CBS and Turner Broadcasting System executive, was named chairman of IWN. The company plans to develop interactive gaming and transactional services, including horse racing and casino games, using NTN's current and future software and technology.

Turner Home Entertainment, CNN and Intellimedia Sports will release "The People vs. O.J. Simpson" on CD-ROM Sept. 14. Packaged with the disc will be software for online service CompuServe, which is providing daily updates on the case. ... Travel & Leisure, with help from Ogilvy & Mather Direct, New York, will conduct a limited test of a new service on America Online with plans for a full rollout later this year.
