Silicon Graphics down to four

Silicon Graphics narrowed its search for a second agency to CKS Silicon Valley, Cupertino, Calif.; Arnold Communications, Boston; Grey Advertising, Los Angeles; and McCann-Erickson Worldwide, San Francisco. Silicon Graphics is seeking an agency for a new, $30 million to $40 million account launching a line of desktop computers that use Microsoft Corp.'s Windows NT operating system and Intel Corp.'s chips (AA Daily, Dec. 22). Silicon Graphics' corporate account at CKS is not affected. Former Apple executive Michael Markman is consultant on the review.
