DETROIT (AdAge.com) -- Tim Murphy has joined Siltanen & Partners Advertising, Marina Del Rey, Calif., as president and partner from Publicis Groupe's Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles, Torrance, Calif. For the past three years Mr. Murphy was director-account management at Saatchi, heading all of Toyota Division's vehicle launches at the agency.

Founder becomes chairman
With the move, Chief Creative Officer Rob Siltanen relinquishes the title of president and becomes chairman. Mr. Siltanen founded the agency in 1999 after 16 years at TBWA/Chiat/Day, where he worked on the Nissan, Infiniti, Apple and Levi Strauss & Co. accounts.

Mr. Siltanen in an e-mail said his agency is currently pitching the Southern California Honda dealer group account.

Mr. Murphy, a 23-year veteran of the ad business, has worked on regional-dealer ad business for Toyota in the past. He also launched Team One's Lexus regional-dealer associations in the western region.
