(May 7, 2001) -- Arnold Worldwide, Boston, has acquired Simmons Durham, St. Louis. The shop, whose clients include Brown-Forman Corp.'s Jack Daniel's international account, has changed its name to Arnold Worldwide. It will operate as a full-service agency, much like Arnold's Washington and San Francisco offices. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Simmons Durham's experience in the spirits category and its Midwest location will open up a variety of new business opportunities for Arnold," said Ed Eskandarian, chairman and CEO of Havas Advertising's Arnold Worldwide Partners. -- Hillary Chura
