Bombardier Inc., Valcourt, Quebec, will send requests for proposals the week of March 27 to as many as 15 U.S. and Canadian agencies for its $10 million Ski-Doo snowmobile account. Ski-Doo wants to move strategy inside, so the brand no longer needs that strength from incumbent Ogilvy & Mather, Dearborn, Mich., Bombardier Marketing Director Chris Dawson told Advertising Age
March 29. "We are committed to the U.S. for creative," he said, indicating U.S. shops may have the inside track. He added 40% of industry sales are in this nation's Midwest. No consultant is involved. The list will be trimmed quickly to three to five shops. A final decision is expected in late May or early June.
