Published on .

Marvin Sloves, co-chairman of Lowe & Partners/SMS, New York, will retire when his contract expires at the end of the year and become a consultant with the agency, effective Jan. 1. His co-chairman, Lee Garfinkel, will continue as chairman and chief creative officer. Mr. Sloves' retirement had been expected since last year. He was one of the founders of Scali McCabe Sloves in 1968; that agency was acquired by Lowe Group in 1993, and Mr. Sloves became co-chairman in 1994.
