Comedian Tommy Smothers (l.) and musician Kenny G appear in a new TV campaign for Callaway Golf Co., marketer of Big Bertha irons and woods. The effort, created in-house, marks the first time that the Carlsbad, Calif.-based company has used non-professional golfers in its commercials. Chairman Ely Callaway also appears in the campaign. The marketer plans to spend $12 million on advertising next year.
