Former Softbank Interactive chairman to run new agency

Management changes are beginning to be announced at Softbank Interactive Marketing after Internet ad company Zulu-tek acquired the Internet ad repping company from Softbank Holdings on Dec. 31, 1997. Andy Batkin, chairman of Softbank Interactive Marketing, will leave Softbank to become CEO of Interactive Marketing, Manhattan Beach, Calif., an Internet marketing company he founded in 1991.Softbank Holdings recently announced that it will make a minority investment in online community GeoCities. Search engine Yahoo! also said it is making a $5 million minority investment in GeoCities and Web broadcaster AudioNet.
