Stuart Redsun Will Develop Brand Strategy for U.S. Product Lines

YORK, Pa. (AdAge.com) -- Sony Electronics has confirmed it hired Stuart Redsun to the new post of senior VP-corporate marketing. Mr. Redsun joins the company June 19, reporting to Chief Marketing Officer Mike Fasulo.

Mr. Redsun, exec VP-marketing at mobile-service provider Helio, is a 20-year marketing veteran, having worked in executive roles with brands including Motorola, Nike and Gateway.

Big-brand experience
He spent 11 years at Nike in various marketing management roles, overseeing the development of the Nike Concept Shops (mini-Niketowns) inside retailers. He also launched Nike Golf and was responsible for marketing its relationship with golfer Tiger Woods. In addition, he served as Motorola worldwide general manager-brand marketing and executed the launch of the Razr phone.

At Sony, Mr. Redsun will be responsible for designing and delivering brand strategy for its U.S. electronics business and product lines including Vaio computers, Cyber-Shot digital cameras and Bravia TVs.
