SONY GOES FROM WALKMAN TO FLY-PIG

Published on .

Sony Corp. will break a global TV brand campaign when pigs fly. In a "Babe"-like setting, a porker demonstrates "imagination" and "realization" in a spot that's part of Sony's first global TV and print brand campaign (AA, March 30). The :60, from Y&R Advertising, New York, debuted last week. Dentsu, Japan, also is working on the global effort, themed "Do you dream in Sony?" More creative is in production, and Sony is still mulling the global and longer-term U.S. media plan. Copywriter: Tom Witt. Art director: Michael Rylander.
