BEIJING -- A TV commercial starring South Korea President Kim will soon air on major TV stations in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other major cities of China. The 30-second TV commercial is designed to help boost South Korean tourism, according to a report by the Beijing Youth Daily.

In the commercial, President Kim plays the role of a pilot of a civil aircraft, promising a pleasant journey to South Korea to everyone on board. The spot may air in other Asian countries and North America.

South Korea has recently signed an agreement with China to make South Korea a new tourism destination for Chinese travelers. Currently, Chinese people are allowed to travel to Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Macao.
