Daytona Beach, Fla., wants to make a splash with sponsors for 1996 beach season events including Race Week, Spring Break, Bike Week and the summer Beach Season. Sponsorship packages include ticket couponing, vehicle signage, local and international media exposure, sampling opportunities, and lifeguard apparel. Costs range from $5,000 to $25,000. Super Belle 1996, an all-star national girls varsity high school football tournament, wants to connect with sponsors for its first game, expected to be televised. Slated for March 30 in Charlotte, N.C., on the eve of the NCAA Women's Final Four Basketball Championship, the event offers one integrated in-event title sponsorship package at $100,000; participating sponsorships are $20,000 each. Fila Summer Pro League, Encino, Calif., seeks additional sponsors for the basketball fest starring National Basketball Association teams and players plus the Magic Johnson All-Star Classic slated for July 6 to Aug. 4. One presenting sponsorship is available at $50,000; sponsorships at lower levels begin at $2,500 and include product promotion, in-arena signage, on-court contests and team logo placement. Rollerdrome Hockey Tour, Toronto, is lining up sponsorships for its first tour of major U.S. and Canada cities beginning in January and pitting local in-line roller hockey teams against one another. The portable rinkboard hockey game system, to be installed in high-traffic locations, allows official game play among grass-roots players plus expert stunt demonstrations, with multiple sponsorship packages available from $15,000 to $50,000. Women's Basketball Holiday Festival, the first annual women's tournament of the 285-school Eastern College Athletic Conference, wants to score sponsors for its event scheduled for Dec. 4 in Orono, Maine. Title sponsorship costs $15,000 and includes in-event presence, sampling and couponing opportunities, and media coverage; participating sponsorships are also available. Performance Plus Motorsports, Richmond, Va., wants to hook up with sponsors for its vehicle competing in the 1996 Hooters Cup Formula 2000 next February through November.
