Published on .

Sprint Communications Corp. shared the stage with the Rolling Stones at a New York press conference today announcing the Sprint-sponsored Rolling Stones "Bridges to Babylon" concert tour. In addition to various promotional tie-ins, Sprint Chairman-CEO William T. Esrey said Sprint will launch a promotion that rewards customers with special access to purchasing tickets via a toll-free number. "Consumers are accustomed to hearing 'You can't always get what you want,' " said Mr. Esrey, "but at Sprint we say, 'Yes, you can.' " The 32-city North American tour opens in Chicago Sept. 23 and closes in Mexico Feb. 14.
