Sprite.com taps RocketCash for teen promotion

Published on .

Coca-Cola Co.'s newly launched Sprite.com is partnering with online currency provider RocketCash to enable teens to shop at its shopping portal in a virtual mall that doesn't take ordinary credit cards. Instead, the new portal, featuring more than 100 teen-focused e-tailers, will accept only RocketCash codes, which are featured under the caps of 20-ounce, 1-liter and 500-milliliter bottles of Sprite. Teens have to log on to find out how much Sprite.com/RocketCash they've acquired. Through 2001, Coca-Colas said it intends to distribute more than 1 billion Sprite bottles marked with the codes or with instant-win messages for free Sprite.
