To introduce new garlic and onion flavors of Miracle Whip, Kraft Foods features an overzealous actor playing a human-size garlic. One spot in the tongue-in-cheek series has him upstaged by a rival actor posing as an onion. The advertising from J. Walter Thompson USA, Chicago, ranges from the garlic's "emoting" to his earnest harangue against his agent for allowing the onion to share in his big break.
