Starbucks in key supermarket test

Starbucks Coffee Co. in an undisclosed market this summer will test supermarket sales of packaged whole and ground flavored coffee priced below $10 a pound. If supermarket distribution doesn't cannibalize sales at Starbucks retail shops, it plans to take the products to supermarkets nationwide starting next year. "We will dominate every place coffee is sold, and that includes supermarkets," Starbucks President Howard Schultz told an investor conference in California today.
