Starbucks into private label

Published on .

Starbucks Coffee is manufacturing a blend specifically for Meijer Stores in 10 midwestern markets. Called Navigator, the coffee contains packaging stating it is "roasted by Starbucks." The whole-bean coffee comes in Colombian and house blends in regular and decaf varieties. Meijer stores in Ohio were selling 2-lb. bags for $13.99 to $14.99. A Starbucks spokeswoman said the arrangement is similar to its agreement with Price Costco, which is selling a Starbucks blend called Meridien in its stores.
