Starsight loss grows

Published on .

Starsight Telecast, developer of an on-screen, interactive TV program guide, reported a net loss of $7.4 million for its second quarter ended June 30, compared with a loss of $5.3 million in the previous year's second quarter. So far this year the company has lost $16.6 million; Starsight attributes the shortfall to expenses related to patent litigation and severance expenses related to executives who left the company.
