NEED A NICE SHOT OF AN URBANE young person with a tongue barbell and green hair? Look no further than NYC: In Your Face, a new CD-ROM ($150) that offers 100 royalty- and license-free images from the "unbridled swirlpool," as a promo piece calls it, by local photographer Abby Gennet. The disc is the first release of a new New York company called 4More, headed by James Morel, publisher of POPsmear, a quarterly magazine for New York's "underground kids," as he calls them.

4More (e-mail address: popsmear@sonicnet.com) not only encourages manipulation of its images, it demands it. "Twist them, filter them, freak them, tweak them, bite their heads off and spit them in your sink!" are the accompanying orders, and submissions are requested, the best work to receive a copy of 4More's next release, which, according to Morel, will focus either on "club kids-the outrageous costumes and hair-or East Village scenery-the garbage cans, the boarded-up buildings," again featuring the work of Gennet.
