A new study by Find/SVP found that 31.3 million adults currently use the Internet and about 55 million more Americans are interested in using the Net. Conducted via phone interviews with about 2,000 adults from February through April, the study also found that Internet usage is increasingly displacing usage of TV, print and radio. Thirty-five percent of adult Net users say their use of TV has declined as a result of the Internet. Additionally, 27% of current users report to have made online purchases in the past year and 39% of those purchasers bought after clicking on an online ad.
