Sturm to head NAA

The Newspaper Association of America named John F. Sturm, 48, to be president and CEO, replacing Cathleen Black, who resigned to become president of Hearst Magazines. Mr. Sturm was most recently senior VP and general counsel for the NAA, a trade group that includes most of the nation's daily newspapers. Prior to joining NAA in 1992 he spent eight years with CBS Inc. in the Washington office.
