Submedia, New York, will launch its first in-tunnel-transit advertising system in Atltanta this spring. Submedia's technology enables marketers, once limited to static ads on platform walls, to reach riders on the train via a motion-picture projection system inside the tunnels. The 900-foot display resembles a 20-second movie that, due to digital projection, looks like it's standing still while the viewers move through the tunnel. The medium will be used by an unnamed Fortune 500 advertiser when Submedia launches the system.
