Web zine Suck, founded by HotWired staffers, is close to launching a new, Java-enhanced version, and it's looking for advertisers. The irreverent, biting column that has become the hallmark of Suck will expand to include five new sections with such names as ``The Pitch'' and ``Vacuum.'' Ads will take the form of spinning Java applets.

No advertisers have yet signed on; HotWired will handle sales. Will Suck, which has bashed corporate marketers and online strategies right and left, be able to find advertisers? Said Suckster Carl Steadman: ``It's called Suck. I think [advertisers] do know what they're getting into. We do remind them.''
