Sun spoofs "1984"

Published on .

Sun Microsystems, launching its JavaStation network computer at a press event Oct. 29 in New York, will screen a 1-minute parody of Apple Computer's "1984." The spoof, which Sun doesn't plan to use as a TV commercial, takes a jab at Microsoft and shows Sun Chairman Scott McNealy keeping "1984's" hammer from smashing the screen.
