Survey: Web changing shopping habits

Published on .

The Web has changed the shopping habits of 58% of the people surveyed in a survey released May 4 at the @d:tech online advertising conference in San Francisco, up 7 points from last year. Called the World Wide Internet Opinion Survey, the study was conducted by @d:tech and online community Talk City. Privacy is still blocking e-commerce. Some 18% of those surveyed said privacy was the single greatest deterrent to shopping online. This is double the 9% from the '98 survey.
