WebTV Network owners spend more time online and make more online purchases than Internet users, according to results from a survey from Fairfax, Va.-based TV Online magazine. Nearly 50% of WebTV owners have shopped online in the past year, the survey found. A Pew Research Center poll found that 32% of Internet users have purchased products and/or services online. The TV Online survey also found that the average WebTV Network owner spends 2.08 hours per day online; a Zona Research poll found the average Internet user spends only 1.8 hours per day online.
