Swanson joins WNBC

Dennis Swanson has been named president and general manager of WNBC, the NBC owned TV station in New York. He was most recently president of ABC Sports, but he left that network after losing a power struggle that basically consolidated ABC Sports with ESPN. Mr. Swanson replaces WNBC President-General Manager Bill Bolster, who will now focus on his other job as president of the CNBC cable network.
