Swiss health ministry takes milk ad to court

Published on .

ZURICH--The Supreme Court in Switzerland is to rule on whether to ban a TV ad that claims milk has healing qualities. The ad, by the Co-operative of Swiss Dairy Farmers, features a football-playing and dancing cow that tells viewers how milk can act against the bone disease osteoporosis. The Swiss ministry of health has taken the ad to the Supreme Court because it says it suggests that milk can heal, which may give viewers a false impression.
