AT&T affiliate sets launch date for Mexico

MEXICO CITY -- The long-distance company partly owned by AT&T will begin accepting subscriptions in November.

Alestra, owned by AT&T, GTE and Telefonica de Espana, plus Mexicancompanies, has told corporate prospectsthat services will be offered beginning January 10, 1997.

Services will include automatic fax distribution, e-mail, Internetaccess,virtualprivatenetworks,EDI, videoconferencing, data transmission networks at high and low speed with frame-relay, and virtual communications networks.
