AT&T equipment division scouts for agency

AT&T has asked four of its core agencies--N.W. Ayer & Partners, Young & Rubicam, FCB/Leber Katz Partners and McCann-Erickson Worldwide--to present marketing and positioning strategies by December for its $20 billion equipment division, which is one of the two new companies being spun off next year. Y&R sister company Landor Associates, a San Francisco-based corporate and brand identity company, is currently developing a name for the new company.
