Another AT&T exec leaves for startup

Published on .

Joseph Nacchio, exec VP of AT&T's consumer and small business division, resigned from the company on Sunday to accept a position as president and CEO of Qwest Communications, a Denver-based communications startup. Gail J. McGovern, formerly director of AT&T corporate customers, replaces Mr. Nacchio. In addition to being resentful of AT&T's naming John Walter, a former Donnelly executive, its new president, Mr. Nacchio supposedly was to be reassigned within the company.
