AT&T signs deal with Excite

AT&T Corp. announced a three-year deal with Excite May 6 to create a co-branded Internet access service called Excite Online Powered by AT&T WorldNet Service. Excite will earn bounty money for customers it drives to the co-branded WorldNet service, and a share of transactions from services AT&T sells on its site. The deal also includes developing Internet-based multimedia communications services, such as click-and-dial directories and anonymous, verbal chats. AT&T signed a similar deal with Lycos May 4.
