E*Trade, Excite@Home, GO.com sites, debut as content servicesAT&T Wireless Services launched its AT&T Digital PocketNet service, usingtechnology provided by InfoSpace's platform and integrated suite ofservices. Simultaneously, Excite@Home launched its mobile user portal,Excite Mobile the new service, becoming the first branded portal.Excite@Home and AT&T Wireless also agreed to a joint distribution deal toco-market each other's mobile services. AT&T Wireless will include ExciteMobile on its unlimited-access service, and Excite will market AT&Twireless services through the Excite Mobile portal; GO.com agreed to haveits GO.com sites ESPN.com and ABCNEWS.com become the premier sports andnews providers for PocketNet. ABCNEWS.com's and ESPN.com's content will becomprised of HDML pages specifically designed for wireless delivery. Also,E*Trade instituted wireless investing via PocketNet's WAP-enabled mobilephones, prominently featured in the finance category. E*Trade and AT&TWireless are considering co-marketing and cross-selling promotions designedto support both PocketNet and E*Trade.
