AT&T WORLDNET TO PROVIDE STREAMING AUDIO, VIDEO E-MAILS

(June 7, 2001) -- Multimedia content provider Talkway Communications struck a deal to supply AT&T Corp.'s AT&T WorldNet Internet service with its streaming audio and video e-mail technology.

The deal will enable AT&T WorldNet subscribers to create and send high-fidelity audio-visual messages via e-mail without having to install special software. AT&T launches the PersonalTalk feature with a sample video e-mail created by Olympic track and field gold medallist Marion Jones. -- Tobi Elkin
