Taco Bell to dump TBWA

Published on .

Taco Bell Corp. soon will announce it's shifting all its $200 million in national creative duties away from TBWA/Chiat/Day, Playa del Rey, Calif., according to a top industry executive. The expected recipient is FCB Worldwide; particular offices and duties are unclear as TBWA moves off the business. FCB, Costa Mesa, Calif., and Chicago, handle much of Taco Bell's field marketing. It's uncertain what responsibilities will be administered out of the FCB office in San Francisco, which was reported to be handling a national TV campaign for a new product. Irvine, Calif.-based Taco Bell is part of Tricon Global Restaurants.
