Tarantino will produce ads

Published on .

The director of "Pulp Fiction" wants to make commercials. Quentin Tarantino's production company, A Band Apart, has opened up a new commercial production unit in Los Angeles. Mr. Tarantino will be a partner in the new production house and shoot commercials in between feature film projects. Another partner in A Band Apart, Lawrence Bender, who produced "Pulp Fiction," will serve as executive producer of the division, as will Michael Bodnarchek, a veteran commercial producer. The division has received backing from Miramax Films, the William Morris Agency and producers Meir Teper and Gianni Nunari.
