TBS pushes 'Dumb' premiere

Published on .

TBS Superstation has put together a multifaceted marketing campaign to promote the Sept. 14 commercial TV premiere of "Dumb & Dumber," one of a slew of '90s box office hits Turner Broadcasting Systems has acquired for TBS. In addition to print, radio and outdoor advertising, TBS plans several "Dumb"-themed promotions, including: character look-alike contests; "This is dumb, This is dumber" on-air promos that marry scenes from the movie with other TBS programming; and a watch-and-win sweepstakes dubbed "Dumb Luck, Big Money Giveaway."
