TBWA to form digital hub in Amsterdam

Published on .

TBWA International will this summer open an Amsterdam-based "Department of the Future," to be headed by Marian Salzman, cyber enthusiast and co-founder of the America Dialogue focus groups on America Online. The unit's primary mission is to "monitor the global convergence of communications media and the interpretation of the implications of fads, movements and trends on behalf of agency clients." Beginning this month, Ms. Salzman will appear regularly on CNBC's "web.biz.bytes." Ms. Salzman has published 11 books and will this summer publish "A Girl's Guide to the Internet" with Time Online's Robert Pondiscio and 11-year-old Lily Matathia, daughter of the CEO of TBWA Italy (formerly president of the agency's New York office).
