The new network will combine the services of professional pharmaceutical and health care agencies already within Omnicom. They include Lyons Lave Nickel Swift, New York; Hyphen, New Jersey; ACCEL, New York; 1Health Communications, Los Angeles and San Francisco; Brand Architecture International, New York, London and Dublin; LEC Advertising, London; Targis, Germany and Japan; Arsenal Targis, France; and TBWA Worldwide.
TBWA said it needed a network to handle drug pitches that are increasingly including both health care professionals and the consumers.
TBWA/WorldHealth will have 17 offices worldwide and aggregated annual revenues of approximately $150 million. Clients include Alcon Laboratories, AstraZeneca, Bayer, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, Pfize Inc., Pharmacia Corp., Schering Plough and Wyeth.
