TBWA international buys Thai agency

NEW YORK -- TBWA International, part of the Omnicom Group, is making further inroads into Asia with the purchase of Thai agency Next & Triplet.

TBWA Next & Triplet has billings of $30m from accounts including Chivas Regal, Singha beer and Samsung home appliances. Staff number 80. Chaipranin Visudhipol is managing director of TBWA Next & Triplet.

The TBWA International network is also represented in Asia by TBWA Fong Haque & Soh in Singapore and in Hong Kong and four Chinese mainland cities by TBWA Lee Davis. It acquired majority stakes in both agencies in September last year.

New billings at those agencies reached $50m last month, from clients including Chivas Regal, Haagen- Dazs and Wonderbra, TBWA International claims.
