TBWA wins more PlayStation work

Sony Computer Entertainment Group Co.'s 989 Studios, Foster City, Calif., which develops PlayStation software, consolidated its account at PlayStation agency TBWA/Chiat/Day. The agency will base the 989 Studios account in its San Francisco office and transfer the main PlayStation console account to that office from its Playa del Rey facility. Spending on the software portion of the account is anticipated in the $10 million range, while spending for the introduction of Sony's new PlayStation 2 console is expected to boost billings into the $90 million range. Butler, Shine & Stern, Sausalito, previously handled 989 Studios.
