NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Shona Seifert, the former Ogilvy & Mather
executive under indictment for mishandling the White House drug policy account, announced today she will take three-month leave of absence to focus attention on her trial, scheduled for February.
The paid leave of absence will begin
Jan. 1, 2005, Ms. Seifert, president of the New York office of Omnicom Group's TBWA/Chiat/Day
, said in a press release.
She and two other former Ogilvy employees were accused earlier this year of overbilling the U.S. government when she headed the Office of National Drug Control Policy account for Ogilvy, part of WPP Group.
Earlier this month, Brett Gosper joined TBWA/Chiat/Day as president of the network's New York Group.
