TCI merger puts hold on AT&T marketing exec hunt

AT&T Corp. has cooled its search for a chief marketing officer in the wake of its planned merger with cable company Tele-Communications Inc. The expected appointment of consultant Gary Langstaff is said to have fallen through. An AT&T spokesman would not comment on specific candidates, but said no decision is at hand.
