TechWeb installs ad management system

CMP Publications' TechWeb site launched a proprietary ad management system offering advertisers the ability to check traffic and rotation themselves. TechWeb had experimented with the NetGravity AdServer system.

CMP will give each advertiser a password to check impressions and click rate. Additionally, the management system will rotate ads continuously throughout the site. TechWeb's ad packages include TechCollection, a gathering of the 10 most popular areas, which costs $7,000 for 100,000 guaranteed impressions. A promo bar running across the bottom of each TechWeb page costs $30,000 for 3 million guaranteed impressions.
